Associate Veterinarian

Position Overview

Location

Our practice is located in Bloomington, IN home to Indiana University. The area is full of beautiful scenery and great outdoor activities – including hiking at surrounding parks and boating on Lake Monroe.   

 

Practice Overview

Furry Friends Veterinary Hospital is a thriving three-year old start-up, small animal practice. Our newly remodeled, clean facility is equipped with everything you need to provide exceptional medicine and surgery (including digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, new ultrasound and more), and we are about to expand an additional 1,200 square feet! We pride ourselves on being a laid-back, fun place to work while focusing on delivering outstanding care to our patients.  Owner DVM, Dr. Cody Kalmon has a passion for surgery (including some orthopedics), oncology, endocrinology and lifelong learning.

 

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Build and maintain client relationships

  • Diagnose, treat and manage a variety of small animal cases

  • Perform small animal surgeries with opportunities for mentorship if desired

  • Maintain a positive and low drama supportive work environment

  • Guide and utilize exceptional support staff

 

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required

  • Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Indiana

  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning

  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity

  • Strong communication skills

  • Positive team player who motivates staff with encouragement

  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
